We are aware of our responsibility to the environment.
We are aware that our activity significantly affects the environment. Therefore, we are actively striving to reduce the negative impact. A lot of money, knowledge and responsibilities have been invested in the environmental management system. In development and planning of investments, ecologically-oriented solutions are prioritised. Our objective and commitment given to the environment and our business partners is to meet the highest ecological standards.
Environmental policy of Mariborska livarna Maribor
At Mariborska livarna, environmental management concerns everyone - from top management to every single individual in the system. In 2008, we acquired the environmental management standard 14001:2004 with which we systemised our environmental principles. In the frame of activities to obtain the standard, a new environmental policy was adopted as well.
Basic principles:
- preventing pollution and ensuring that our impact on the environment is as insignificant as possible;
- meeting legal and other requirements associated with environmental aspects that we adopted;
- providing occupational health and safety of our employees;
- following and implementing the best global practice in manufacture and technology, with special attention paid to reducing the impact on the environment which is reflected in maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental management system in compliance with ISO 14001 and meeting the requirements of the IPPC Directive regulations;
- continuous improving of the existing environmental management system.
The acquired knowledge and gained extensive experience enable us, more than others, to be aware of harmful substances in the environment. Our objective is to use this knowledge to continuously improve our living environment.
In the past years, our efforts for environmental protection and thinking about the health of our customers have been upgraded with our products as well. We independently developed two products: a healthy sanitary tap and an anti-Legionella filter.
